One Less Gun: Boston School Police Officers Apprehend Gun Carrying Former Student Trespassing at English High School: At about 11:59am, on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to 144 McBride Street (English High School) to assist school police officers who had apprehended an individual, known to be a former student, for trespassing and possession of a firearm. On arrival, officers spoke to school police officers who stated that they observed the suspect inside the school and, upon seeing him, promptly realized that he was a former student trespassing on school property. As such, they approached and escorted him to the principal’s office to better understand his reasoning for being on school grounds. Once there, officers conducted a search of the suspect’s backpack. During which, officers located and recovered a firearm (see photo). Officers arrested a 17 year-old male and charged him with Trespassing and the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
