Gotta Love Boston’s Finest and the BPD Officer who Lent a Hand to a Woman in West Roxbury

Gotta Love Boston’s Finest: One of our officers was driving through West Roxbury today (Thursday, January 28, 2016) when he saw an elderly woman who he absolutely had to stop for. Our officer – K-9 Officer John Quinn - observed an elderly woman struggling to remove a large block of snow/ice from the front of her house. Sensing that she was in need of a little help, he stopped his cruiser, hopped out and asked if he could lend her hand. As you can see by the photo, the rest is history. Said Officer Quinn: “It was the right thing to do. I saw that she needed help so I pulled over and asked her to hand me the shovel. It’s one of those things police officers do every day. But – bottom line – she reminded me of my mother and I only did for her what I would want someone to do for my mom.” To Officer Quinn, we say “Job well done, John. Thanks for making our city the special place that it is.”
