One Less Gun: Another Search Warrant Leads to the Recovery of Two Illegal Firearms, Drugs and Cash in Dorchester

At about 6:08 AM on Friday January 29, 2016, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force executed a search warrant as part of an active and ongoing investigation in the area of 22 Payson Avenue in District C-11 (Dorchester).  Officers made a forced entry at which time they located the subject of their investigation, Lloyd Lewis, 27, of Dorchester, and detained him pending the outcome of their search. Officers recovered a loaded Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver, a loaded Smith & Wesson 10mm handgun, 27 grams of heroin, 27 grams of codeine pills, 3 grams of crack cocaine as well as $537 in U.S. Currency. Officers then placed the suspect in custody without incident. The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Two Counts), Possession of a Firearm while in Commission of a Felony (Two Counts), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Trafficking Class A Drugs, Trafficking Class B Drugs, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs.
