At about 1:31 AM on Saturday, January 30, 2016, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) made an onsite arrest of a person armed with a gun in the area of Morton and Norfolk Streets.  The officers were on patrol when they observed two males and one female standing in the street yelling at a passing motor vehicle. Officers observed one of the males pointing what appeared to be a firearm at the vehicle before putting it into the waistband area of his pants.  The officers immediately stopped and exited their cruiser, approaching the individuals with their weapons drawn while ordering them to the ground. The three suspects complied, at which time officers were able to recover a loaded Ivet Johnson Arms revolver from the pant leg of Jahquel Pringle, 18, of Mattapan. Officers also recovered a taser and a small bag of cocaine from the female suspect, Nacora Grant, 24, of Dorchester.  Both suspects were placed in custody without incident. The second male was questioned and released. Both suspects will appear in Dorchester District Court. Pringle is charged with Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Grant is charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Dangerous Weapon and Possession of Class B Drugs.
