BPD Officers Execute Search Keeping Boston Safe: Warrant, Recover Drugs, Cash and Ammunition, Make Arrest in West Roxbury

At about 11:40 AM on Tuesday January 5, 2016, officers assigned to the District E-5 (West Roxbury) Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant as part of an active and ongoing investigation in the area of 1461 VFW Parkway.  

As a result of the search, officers were able to recover thirty grams of heroin, five Suboxone films, one bag of marijuana, one morphine pill, one bag of cocaine, four digital scales, a box of .44 caliber ammunition and $1,009 U.S. Currency. The officers then placed the target of their investigation, Angel Ruiz, 27, of West Roxbury, in custody without incident. The suspect will be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on charges of Trafficking Class A Drugs, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs (3 Counts) and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs (2nd and Subsequent).
