Making a Difference: Hundreds of Officers Come Out to Donate Blood at the BPPA Union Hall in Dorchester

Hundreds of officers came out yesterday, on Thursday October 20, 2016, in support of Officers Cintolo and Morris at a blood drive which was organized by the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association in Dorchester.  After the incident, both officers received lifesaving care at Massachusetts General Hospital and relied on donated blood to pull them through.  “I think we all realize that those two officers wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for the blood transfusions they got the other night,” said Commissioner Evans.  We’re grateful to the BPPA for organizing this event and would like to say thank you to all the hardworking volunteers and everyone who turned out yesterday to make a difference by giving blood.
