BPD Officers Arrest Suspect in Connection to Death Investigation in the area of 1071 Massachusetts Ave: At about 5:15 PM on Saturday October 22, 2016, officers responded to a call for a fight in the area of 1071 Massachusetts Ave. On arrival, officers located a male victim, believed to be in his late forties, suffering from what appeared to be life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. According to witnesses, the altercation involved two individuals who appeared to be homeless. A search of the area enabled officers to locate the other combatant. Officers arrested Peter McGowan, 53, of Boston and charged him with Murder.
