UPDATE: BPD Arrest Suspect Wanted in Connection to Robbery of an Elderly Victim in Dorchester


On Friday, October 28, 2016, the suspect wanted in connection with the unarmed robbery of a 75-year-old female in Dorchester was located and arrested in Quincy. Five days earlier, at about 3:38pm, on Sunday, October 23, 2016, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a robbery in progress at 55 Hallet Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim, a 75-year-old female, who stated that she was returning to her car, which was parked in the Florian Hall parking lot, when a white male approached her from behind, snatched her purse and took off running. The suspect, James Moffett, 34, of Weymouth is charged with Unarmed Robbery. Thanks to all who helped in our collective efforts to identify and locate the suspect.
