On, Wednesday, November 16, 2016, Members of the Boston Police Fugitive Unit along with SWAT officers arrested Julian Troche, 24, of Boston as he was sitting in a vehicle in the area of 63 Burbank Street, Boston. Troche was taken into custody without incident.
At about 11:06 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2016, Officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 62 Astoria Street, Mattapan. On arrival officers located the victim, who has since been identified as Andrew Flonory 31, of Brockton, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Boston Police Homicide Detectives along with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office worked tirelessly investigating the facts and circumstances of this homicide and were able to identify Julian Troche as the suspect. On November 15, 2016, investigators sought and were granted a warrant for the arrest of Troche.
After several hours of surveillance, officers were able to take Troche into custody outside of 63 Burbank Street, while he sat in a vehicle. Arraignment is scheduled for today, November 17, 2016 in Dorchester District Court.
“This is a very dangerous individual with a history of violence taken off our streets,” said Commissioner William Evans. “I hope this arrest brings some level of comfort to the Flonory family. I also want to acknowledge the great effort by the Homicide Unit and the District Attorney’s office who worked to identify this suspect and the members of the Fugitive and SWAT team that took him into custody.”
