MEDIA ADVISORY: BPD Officers Organize Benefit Hockey Game in Honor of Officers Morris and Cintolo

WHO: Mayor Martin Walsh, Commissioner William Evans, men and women of the Boston Police Department.

WHAT: Almost six weeks ago, Boston Police Officers Richard Cintolo and Matt Morris were shot during a domestic disturbance in East Boston on October 13, 2016. The incident underscored the dangers police officers willingly expose themselves to each and every day in their ongoing efforts to protect and serve the citizens of our great city. Thankfully, Richie and Matt continue to recoup and recover from their injuries. To recognize their service and sacrifice, members of the BPD Hockey Team will take to the ice in East Boston to face off vs the Boston Bruins Alumni Team in a game created to show appreciation and support for Richie and Matt. Fittingly, the game will be held the night before Thanksgiving.

WHEN: Wednesday, November 23, 2016 @ 7:00pm

WHERE: Porrazzo Hockey Rink, 199 Coleridge Street, East Boston
