BPD Officers Confiscate Two Guns, Arrest Two in Connection to Armed Robbery of a Pizza Delivery Person in Mattapan: At about 7:19pm, on Friday, December 9, 2016, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for an armed robbery in area of 19 Hiawatha Road in Mattapan. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim, a pizza delivery person, who stated that she was robbed by four suspects while attempting to make a delivery in the area of 19 Hiawatha Road. According to the victim, one of the suspects approached her with a firearm and robbed her of $200.00 in cash, a $65.00 hot bag, and approximately $80.00 worth of food. A search of the area for the suspects proved unsuccessful. However, the victim was able to identify two of the suspects while reviewing a photo array. As a result, detectives sought arrest warrants for two of the suspects wanted in connection to the armed robbery. One week after the robbery, on Friday, December 16, 2016, officers arrested Jennaisa Simms, 19 of Boston and Johnathon Turner, 21, of Boston and charged both with Armed Robbery. A search of the suspect’s residence enabled officers to locate and take possession of two firearms. One of the firearms is pictured above.
