One Less Gun: Officers Recover Firearm, Drugs during Hyde Park Search Warrant

At about 10:40 AM on Friday, February 26, 2016, members of the District E-5 Drug Control Unit executed several search warrants in the area of 185 Ruskindale Road, Hyde Park.

As a result of a motor vehicle stop and the ensuing execution of search warrants, officers were able to arrest the operator and target, 34-year-old Michael M. Toussaint of Hyde Park. Officers recovered a loaded .22 caliber Walther P22 pistol, 10 grams of heroin, Suboxone pills, Codeine syrup, Tramadol pills, various other drugs in pill form, over $900 in US currency, and various drug paraphernalia and packaging materials consistent with the sale of illegal narcotics. Officers arrested and charged Toussaint with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A Drugs, two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs, two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Class C Drugs, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D Drugs. Officers will also file complaints against Toussaint for violations of the School Zone laws for all drug charges.
