At about 5:46 PM on Thursday, February 4, 2016, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 55 Brookledge Street in Roxbury.
Upon arrival, officers located a male victim, believed to be in his twenties, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The victim has since been identified as 22-year-old Marquis Waithe of Roxbury.
