Because We Care: Harvard University Recognizes Great Work Being Done by District D-14 Officers in Brighton

‘Cuz We Care: Gotta hand it to Civilian Community Service Officer Frank Hughes and the officers from District D-14 (Brighton) for everything they do to support, provide and champion youth activities and athletic pursuits for the kids in their community. In fact, for the last 7 years, the officers from District D-14 have organized and supervised the D-14 PAL Soccer Program. This year alone, the league will mentor, educate and accommodate close to 200 kids. When we talk about making a difference in the lives of our young people, leagues like the D-14 PAL Soccer Program and the officers who run it make all the difference. In recognition of the league’s successful impact on the Brighton community, Harvard University President Drew Faust recently presented Hughes, Mayor Walsh and Captain Wayne Lanchester with a check for $3,000.
