At about 3:30 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) made an onsite firearm arrest after a call for shots fired in the area of 47 Nazing Street. While on approach to the scene, an officer observed Detrell Robinson, 21, of Dorchester, who matched the given description of someone who had been seen fleeing the scene. The officer stopped the suspect as he was crossing over Blue Hill Avenue and performed a pat frisk which revealed a loaded handgun in his front jacket pocket. The suspect was then placed in custody without incident. The firearm was later revealed to be Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380 which had been previously reported stolen in Connecticut. The suspect will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
