Vision Zero Task Force Collaborates on E-learning Training Video to Promote Commuter Safety

Earlier today, Monday April 11, 2016, the Vision Zero Task Force announced the upcoming release of an instructional video for commuter safety. The Vision Zero Task Force is a program that brings together several of the city's major agencies and resources to focus on eliminating fatal and serious road accidents and crashes in the City of Boston. The production of the E-learning video will be a collaboration between the Boston Police Department, MassDOT, WalkBoston and other public safety agencies across Massachusetts. The content of the video is aimed at assisting commuters in identifying dangerous behaviors and also increasing awareness of Massachusetts traffic laws. The video will be completed in June and includes participation from the State Police, Quincy PD, Waltham PD, Newton PD and Brookline PD.

Captain Jack Danilecki of the Boston Police Department spoke for all participating groups today when he said, "In the state of Massachusetts, we care about everyone on the road whether in a car, on a bike, or on a crosswalk!"
