The Boston Police Department's Most Famous Runner Takes Part in the 2016 BAA 5K in Boston's Back Bay

At 8:00 AM on Saturday April 16, 2016, Boston Police Commissioner William Evans took his position on the starting line for the annual running of the BAA 5K through Boston's Back Bay.  The Commissioner wore his Team MR8 jersey in honor of young Martin Richard, as he does during every road race he runs.  In his running career, Commissioner Evans has completed forty nine marathons, so a quick 5K on a sunny day on streets he knows better than anyone was an easy run.  Congratulations Commissioner Evans and to all the athletes who competed today.
