One Less Gun: Officers Recover Two Firearms, Drugs & Money as a Result of Search Warrant in Dorchester

At about 4:50 PM on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, members of the District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) Drug Control Unit made a firearm and drug related arrest in the area of 16 Harrow Street, Dorchester.

As part of an active and ongoing investigation, officers executed a search warrant in the above area and as a result recovered a loaded black Smith & Wesson M and P .40 caliber handgun previously reported stolen, an unloaded black Titan .25 caliber firearm, additional ammunition, several pieces of drug paraphernalia consistent with the packaging and sale of drugs, one plastic bag containing 9 individually wrapped plastic bags of crack cocaine, and approximately $4,300.00 in US currency.

The target of the investigation, 34-year-old Tommy Lee Smith of Dorchester, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possession of a High Capacity Feeding Device and Firearm, Possession of Stolen Property (Firearm), Improper Storage of a Firearm, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs (Cocaine). Fifty-five-year-old Willie Tutt of Dorchester was also arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
