Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Officers Catch Suspect, Recover Realistic Looking BB Gun After Incident in Dorchester

Earlier today, Tuesday May 10, 2016, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person with a gun in the area of 2 Hecla Street.  On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that a male suspect had threatened him with what appeared to be a laser sighted handgun.  Officers quickly located Daniel Vo, 21, of Dorchester, hiding behind a nearby vehicle and placed him in custody without incident.  Officers inspected the vehicle that the suspect had been using as cover and recovered a realistic looking BB gun with a laser sight from inside it.  Officers spoke with the owner who stated that he did not know the suspect nor had he given him permission to enter his vehicle.  The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges of Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Breaking and Entering to a Motor Vehicle.
