At about 12:08 AM on Friday May 13, 2016, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) recovered a loaded firearm and placed a juvenile suspect in custody after responding to a call for a fight in the area 94 Intervale Street in Dorchester.  On arrival, the officers observed a 16 year old male from Dorchester behaving in a suspicious manner and approached to speak with him.  Upon seeing the officers, the juvenile suspect attempted to flee while clutching at the waistband area of his pants.  Officers were able to stop the suspect and conduct a pat frisk which revealed the presence of a firearm.  A violent struggle ensued, during which a loaded Interarms-Firestar 9mm handgun fell on the ground.  The firearm was quickly recovered by the arresting officers and the suspect was placed in custody.  The suspect will appear in Dorchester Juvenile Court on charges of Delinquent to Wit:  Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
