Two Firearms Recovered From Boston Neighborhoods Thanks to Anonymous Tips From Concerned Citizens

Last night, Thursday May 12, 2016, officers assigned to C-6 (South Boston) and B-3 (Mattapan) recovered two loaded Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handguns thanks to anonymous tips from concerned citizens.  Officers were able to locate and recover one firearm in the area of 180 D Street in South Boston and another in the area of Washington and Kenwood Streets in Dorchester.  These incidents will continue to be investigated.  Both firearms have been turned over to our Ballistics Unit for analysis.  Our thanks to the community members who did the right thing for their neighborhoods by contacting us.
