Vote for K-9 Roo in the 2016 American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards!

Our own K-9 Roo is being honored as a finalist in this year’s American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards.  Only three dogs remain in this national contest and he needs your votes to win.

During his career, Roo has responded to more than five hundred calls for shots fired, over two hundred calls for suspicious packages, located hundreds of shell casing and recovered twelve firearms.   In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings, Roo searched Boylston Street for secondary devices to keep first responders safe and was present in Watertown for the capture of one of the perpetrators.   He has protected local politicians, visiting dignitaries and the President of the United States during his visits to the City of Boston.

Roo is retiring this year after an extraordinary career and we can’t think of a better way to honor him.  Follow this link to vote for K9 Roo daily until the June 22nd deadline.

Good Luck Roo and Congrats on your retirement!
