One Less Gun: Officers Arrest Two While Recovering Five Firearms, Drugs and Cash During Execution of Two Search Warrants in Two Communities Outside Boston

At about 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, members of the City Wide Drug Control Unit, in partnership with the BPD Special Investigations Unit, Norfolk County District Attorney's Crime Prevention and Control Unit, Randolph Police and Stoughton Police, simultaneously executed two search warrants as part of an active drug investigation which originated several months ago in Boston.

Officers searched 6 Willow Drive in Randolph and recovered a .22 caliber revolver as well as $17,800 in U.S. currency. As a result, officers placed the target of their investigation, Xavier Pena-Diaz, 23, from Randolph, in custody without incident. Pena-Diaz was also wanted on several warrants for drug related offenses at the time. Officers also searched 43 Brewster Road in Stoughton and recovered four handguns (one .22 caliber, one, .380 caliber and two .38 caliber), seventy-five grams of heroin, various other drugs and $14,600 in U.S. Currency. Officers then placed Marvin Auguste, 25, of Stoughton, in custody without incident. Auguste was processed and booked by the Stoughton Police Department and will appear in their jurisdictional court on numerous drug and firearm charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Four Counts) and Trafficking Class A Drugs. Pena-Diaz will appear in Boston Municipal Court for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in addition to the charges from the previously issued warrants.

Our thanks to our partners in Norfolk County for their collaborative efforts over the course of this wide ranging investigation.
