4th Annual BPD "Big for a Day" Event Brings Smiling Faces to the Boston Police Academy

Last Saturday, April 30, 2016, female BPD officers from around the city participated in the 4th Annual Big for a Day event hosted at the Boston Police Academy. For the fourth year in a row, approximately 30 girls were paired with female Boston Police Officers for a day of education, exercise, and fun. This year, the girls were visited by Chief William Gross, the crime scene unit, BPD K-9 Betty, and the BPD SWAT team. Everyone had a great time learning how to dust for fingerprints, participating in a double-dutch jump rope competition, and taking a peek inside the SWAT truck!
