BPD in the Community: Officers Honored to Cheer on Athletes at the 2016 Special Olympics Summer Games

Last Friday evening, June 3, 2016, Superintendent in Chief William Gross, members of the Command Staff, Gaelic Column and Honor Guard along with dozens of officers from across the city were on hand for the Opening Ceremonies for the 2016 Massachusetts Special Olympics Summer Games.  There were many smiles, high fives, hugs and handshakes as the officers greeted the athletes.  This is the fourth year in a row that members of the department have been honored to play a prominent role in the ceremonies.
