Boston Police Academy Class 55-15 Completes their Run to BPD Headquarters

Today, Friday, June 24, 2016, Boston Police Academy Class 55-15 completed their traditional “Run to Boston Police Headquarters” as a right-of-passage a few days prior to their graduation scheduled for next Wednesday. Police Commissioner William Evans proudly accompanied the 53 recruits and Academy instructors on the approximately 7-mile run through the city that precedes their fast approaching oath of service to the communities and neighborhoods of Boston. The final leg of the run culminates at BPD Headquarters where the recruits lay a wreath at the Boston Police Officers Memorial in remembrance of those who came before them. To all the recruits, we say: "Job well done and looking forward to seeing you out in the streets protecting and serving one of safest big cities in America!!!"
