Boston Police Seeking Public's Assistance in Identifying Suspect in St. Patrick's Day Parade Assault

In an extensive ongoing investigation, District C-6 (South Boston) Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an assault and battery that took place during the South Boston Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, Sunday, March 20, 2016 in the area of D Street and Gold Street.

Due to injuries suffered during the attack, the victim did not report the incident until Sunday, April 9, 2016. On that date, the victim reported that during the parade, between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM, she was walking with her friends through the park at the above address when she unknowingly became involved in an ongoing argument and was assaulted by a group of teenage males. The victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim, her family, and detectives are appealing to the public, asking anyone who may have witnessed the assault to provide information to the police. Anyone with any information is asked to call District C-6 detectives directly at (617) 343-4742.
