Commissioner Evans Visits with Special Citizen on her 103rd Birthday!!!

Commissioner Evans Visits with Special Citizen on her 103rd Birthday: On this day, 103 years ago, on July 1, 1913, Boston resident Irene Randolph was born. Today, Police Commissioner William Evans stopped by the Landmark Senior Living Community at 63 Parker Hill Ave in Roxbury to wish her a Happy Birthday. Said Commissioner Evans: “When I heard Irene was turning 103, I had to meet her to wish her a Happy Birthday. People like her have made Boston the special place it is today and it was an honor and privilege for me to meet her and thank her for being a great citizen.” In the last 103 years, 17 different men have occupied the White House. From Woodrow Wilson to FDR to Truman to Ike to JFK to the Bushes to Obama, Irene has seen quite a few but, when asked to name her favorite, today’s President took the top honor. Said Irene: “Never thought I see the day and when I did it made me real happy. We’ve come a long way.” And thanks to people like Irene Randolph, so has our city. Happy Birthday Irene!!!
