From Boston to Dallas: Boston Musician Provides Somber but Uplifting Backdrop at Dallas Police HQ Memorial

Last week, over 50 Boston police officers of all ranks traveled to Dallas to pay their respects to the five Dallas officers killed in the line of duty on July 7. As they visited the memorial erected outside DPD Headquarters, they were serenaded by the somber but uplifting sounds of a trumpet played by Boston native, Annie Gaskell. Even BPD Officer Jay Connolly, who was in attendance at the funerals and memorial, appreciated the gesture, telling local ABC station WFAA8 that this is just what mourners need as a background.
