At about 11:36 am, on Thursday, July 7, 2016, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a person or persons shot in the area of 68 Hancock Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located two individuals suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. A male victim, believed to be in his early twenties, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second victim, a female believed to be in her fifties, was transported to an area hospital where she was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to her leg.
