SHOW OF SUPPORT: Mayor Walsh visits area police stations to offer words of support to the brave men and women of the Boston Police Department

SHOW OF SUPPORT: Mayor Martin Walsh visited two police stations earlier today to offer words of encouragement to the brave men and women of the Boston Police Department who risk their lives everyday protecting and serving the citizens of our fine city. With the recent tragedy in Dallas on the minds of police officers everywhere, Mayor Walsh stopped by District B-2 in Roxbury to offer support. At the start of roll call, Mayor Walsh addressed officers saying: “You deserve our support and backing. I came here today to share that message and to say to you we support you and thank you for all that you do to keep us safe.” Said one officer who asked not to be named: “For the Mayor to come out and talk to us means more than he could possibly know. He thanked us, but, I’d also like to thank him.”
