BPD Safety Alert: Missing 9-Year-Old Boy Kelvin Martins Has Been Located, Search for his Father Continues: The Boston Police Department would like to thank all who helped in the search for Kelvin Martins, the 9-year-old boy who was reported missing out of Dorchester and is believed to have been the victim of a parental kidnapping. Kelvin was located in Dorchester at about 12:30pm today, Friday, August 12, 2016. Prior to being located, Kelvin was last seen in the company of his father, Juan Ayala-Powell, 27, of Boston, who remains wanted in connection to a non-fatal shooting incident which occurred last night, August 11, 2016, at about 11:39pm in the area of 198 Blue Hill Ave. A male victim in his early twenties was transported to BMC with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Ayala-Powell (see photo) was seen fleeing the area in a green 2004 Ford Explorer and it is believed that his son, Kelvin, was in the vehicle at the time of the incident. While the vehicle has been located, the search for Ayala-Powell continues.
