BPD In The Community: Commissioner Evans Makes Surprise Appearance at the C-11 Summer Boot Camp in Dorchester

This week, twenty five kids from Dorchester took part in the first ever C-11 Boot Camp sponsored by the Boston Police Athletic League.  The five day program was coordinated by the District C-11 Community Service Office with a focus on physical training and teamwork.  The kids and cops got a big surprise yesterday morning, on Thursday August 18, 2016, when Commissioner Evans showed up to participate.  The commissioner took part in warm ups and then set the pace as the group went for a three mile run through the neighborhood.  Our thanks to William Stoddard, Executive Director of PAL, for sponsoring this event and to all the officers and participants for making this camp a success.
