One Less Gun: BPD Officers Recover Loaded Gun After Responding to Disturbance in Roslindale

At about 8:30 AM on Thursday September 1, 2016, officers assigned to District E-5 (West Roxbury) responded to a radio call for an armed suspect threatening to shoot people after a disturbance inside an apartment on Amherst Street in Roslindale.  The officers made entry and located the suspect, Deyves Fils-Aime 26, of Roslindale, inside a bathroom where he was placed in custody without further incident.  Officers then recovered a loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson M&P which had been placed underneath a pile of clothes in the bathroom.  Officers later learned that the suspect was wanted on an outstanding warrant for Operating a Motor Vehicle After Revocation or Suspension.  The suspect has since been arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a High Capacity Firearm, Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Threats.
