Keeping Boston Safe: BPD Officers Arrest 3 Suspects, Recover 2 Guns During Drug Bust in South Boston: In the BPD’s ongoing efforts to address the distribution and sale of illegal narcotics in our neighborhoods, BPD officers made a significant drug bust earlier today in South Boston. At about 5:00am, on Thursday, September 22, 2016, officers assigned to the District C-6 Neighborhood Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant in the area of 419 Old Colony Ave in South Boston. Upon entering the location, officers observed and recovered (see photo) 2 guns, over $1,300 in U.S. Currency, 24 plastic bags of heroin (Class A Drug) and 35 plastic bags of crack cocaine (Class B Drug). Additionally, officers located and arrested three individuals found inside the apartment. Officers arrested Remus Roberson, 25, of Boston and Uhnari Bufford, 22, of Boston and charged both with the Unlawful Possession of Firearm, Unlawful Possession Ammunition, Unlawful Possession High Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, Possession with Intent to Distribute both Class A and Class B Drugs. Michael Lamontagne, 63, of Boston was charged with Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws.
