BPD In The Community: Officers Take to the Floor for a Game of Street Hockey at the Boys and Girls Club in Dorchester

Last night, on Monday, September 26, 2016, there was yet another example of Boston Police Officers going above and beyond call of the duty to connect with the kids in our communities as officers from District C-11 took to the gym floor at the Boys and Girls Club in Dorchester for a hotly contested, fun filled game of street hockey.  Building relationships and connecting with kids is what our officers do every day - it's called community policing and nobody does it better.  Said one of the officers participating in the game: "Our job is to remind kids that they shouldn't feel threatened around police officers.  We tell the kids all the time, the only people who should be afraid of the police are people who don't care about our community."
