BPD In The Community: Officers Bring 15 Young Basketball Players to the Boston Garden to Meet Celtic’s Head Coach Brad Stevens

Last week, several local kids from the G3 Boston – Shooting Touch basketball program got the opportunity to attend a Boston Celtic’s game and meet head coach Brad Stevens.  The young athletes were escorted by several Boston Police Officers who participate in the G3 program which focuses on Getting Girls in the Game while building meaningful relationships centered on trust and communication.  The coach spoke to the group about the importance of hard work and dedication, both on and off the court, and was all smiles when he stopped to pose for a couple pictures.  Thank you to our officers for always going the extra mile to connect with members of the communities we serve and thanks to Coach Stevens for taking the time to say hello to these special young ball players.
