One Less Gun: Two Firearms Recovered After Multiple Shots Fired in Dorchester

 

At about 11:45 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2017, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) recovered two firearms after responding to a call for shots fired in the area of 7 Upham Avenue in Dorchester. On arrival, officers recovered dozens of spent shell casings in two different locations and observed ballistic damage to four parked cars as well as two homes. Miraculously, there were no reported injuries. Officers then performed a search of the area which led to the recovery of a 9mm Taurus PT111G2 handgun and a 9mm Beretta 92F handgun which were found in a dumpster near 34 Upham Avenue. Both weapons have been turned over to the BPD Firearms Analysis Unit for processing. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
