On Saturday October 28, 2017 at 9 AM, The Boston Police Department will become the first Police Department in the nation to join the Shatterproof Rise Up Against Addiction's 5k Run/Walk being held at Franklin Park in Boston. Shatterproof is a national group dedicated to ending the devastation addiction causes families.

Please join Mayor Walsh, Police Commissioner Evans, Fire Commissioner Finn, and EMS Chief Hooley as they take a stand to help shatter the shame and stigma of asking for help. Formal speaking program begins at 9 AM, at Franklin Park Playstead on Pierpont Road. Runners start at 9:30 AM and walkers start at 9:45 AM.
