BPD in the Community: "Walk to School" Event in Brighton Brings Smiles and High Fives All Around!

Today's "Walk to School" event at the Winship Elementary School in Brighton, started at Rogers Park where dozens of kids and their families turned out for a safe and healthy walk to their school. The kids were delighted to meet New England's Pat the Patriot along with our own Boston Police Commissioner William Evans, School Superintendent Tommy Chang, and City Councilor Mark Ciommo. Principal Mona Ford Walker led the procession after introductions and remarks from the special guests.

Once the kids safely arrived at the Winship School, the kids assembled on the playground to deliver a message of hope and support for survivors of Hurricane Harvey in Houston. As you can see, all smiles and good times this morning at the Winship!
