BPD Officers Arrest Two Individuals Wanted in Connection to Non-Fatal Shooting near 25 Whittier Street in Roxbury

 

Five days after a non-fatal double shooting in the area of 25 Whittier Street in Roxbury, the individuals responsible for the incident are behind bars. At about 12:53am, on Saturday, September 30, 2017, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person or persons shot in area of 25 Whittier Street in Roxbury. On arrival, officers located two victims both suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to area hospitals where they received treatment for their injuries. According to information collected and gathered at the scene, two male suspects were seen fleeing the area. A search of the area for the suspects proved unsuccessful, however, officers did locate and recover two firearms discarded by the suspects as they fled the scene. After a complete and thorough investigation, officers were able to later learn and ascertain the identities of the suspects wanted in connection to the shooting. Earlier today, Thursday, October 5, 2017, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force, along with members of the Quincy Police Department, located and arrested the suspects in Quincy. Dionte Martinez, 18, of Boston and Thomas Perkins, 18, of Quincy are both charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
