Today, Tuesday, November 21, 2017, the District B-2 (Roxbury) Community Service Office Third Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon for Seniors. Each year, the B-2 CSO hosts a Thanksgiving Luncheon for community seniors in partnership with the Salvation Army Kroc Center and its culinary program. The B-2 CSO Office raises money throughout the year to purchase food which is prepared by the culinary program. This year, the officers were able to prepare meals for 140 seniors from the Roxbury and Dorchester neighborhoods, and the meals were served by high school youth from the B-2 Police Explorers program.
As you can see from the all the smiles, Boston Police Commissioner Evans, Chief Gross, our officers and officers from the Transit and Brookline police departments, all had a wonderful time getting into the holiday giving spirit!
