The Boston Police Department is updating an earlier community alert issued on November 9, 2017 to include two additional robberies which occurred on Saturday, November 18, 2017 on Blue Hill Ave in Mattapan. At present, detectives are investigating a series of armed robberies of convenience stores in four Boston neighborhoods over the past several days. The robberies, dates and locations, are listed below:
- Thursday, 11/2/17, 10:40 PM, Fairmount Avenue, HP
- Saturday, 11/4/17, 10:04 PM, River Street, HP
- Saturday, 11/4/17, 10:29 PM, South Street, Roslindale
- Sunday, 11/5/17, 11:00 PM, Warren Street, Roxbury
- Tuesday, 11/7/17, 9:30 PM, Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale
- Saturday, 11/18/17, 5:38pm, 1553 Blue Hill Ave, Mattapan
- Saturday, 11/18/17, 6:18pm, 1549 Blue Hill Ave, Mattapan
In each of the incidents, three males (see images provided) entered the aforementioned stores and demanded money from registers and safes located inside the businesses. In all of the incidents, at least one of the suspects appears to be armed with a black firearm. The suspects are described as black males, approximately 25 to 30 years old, wearing hooded sweatshirts pulled over their heads and faces, latex gloves, ski masks and bandanas.
The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding these incidents. Anyone with information relative to the identities or whereabouts of the suspects seen in the images is asked to contact the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1(800)494-TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463). The Boston Police Department will stringently guard and protect the identities of all those who wish to help this investigation in an anonymous manner.
