On Monday, November 27, 2017, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for a livery driver that was robbed at gunpoint in the area of 26 Woodgate Road. Detectives from the district took over the investigation, and in the early evening hours of Saturday, December 16, 2017, they learned that the suspect’s telephone number had ordered a ride from the area of 27 Woodgate Road. B-3 detectives coordinated a controlled pick-up of the suspects at that address, and as a result, two suspects, identified as 19-year-old Lowell Parra-Ortiz and 18-year-old Joey Delossantos, both of Mattapan, were arrested as they entered the livery vehicle. A loaded .357 Magnum revolver was seized from Parra-Ortiz, while the suspect’s cell phone was recovered from Delossantos. Both males will answer to charges of Armed Robbery (Firearm). Officers will seek complaints for Parra-Ortiz for firearm-related charges.
