The facts of the original incident are as follows: At about 4:15 AM on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, officers from District C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 69 Boston Street, Dorchester. On arrival, officers observed a male in his mid-20s inside the hotel suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim was later identified as Joshua Briggs, 22, of Dorchester.
Earlier today, on Wednesday December 20, 2017, John Collins, 27, of Dorchester, Michael Reynolds, 24, of Roxbury, James Coleman, 24, of Milton and Errin Crawford, 29, of Roxbury were all charged with Murder, Armed Home Invasion and Armed Robbery in Boston Municipal Court. Collins and Reynolds were both additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Thanks to their combined efforts, four individuals are now charged with the murder of Joshua Briggs.
