At about 9:08 PM on Sunday, December 24, 2017, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for shots fired in the area of 150 Wellington Hill Street in Mattapan. While officers were on scene, they learned of a victim that had self-applied to an area hospital suffering from apparent gunshot wounds which were determined to be related to the shots fired incident. The 19-year-old male victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
