Media Availability/Photo Opportunity: Commissioner Evans to Thank Boston Police Foundation for Funding Improvements to Workout Spaces in 15 Boston Police Stations

WHO: Boston Police Commissioner William Evans, members of the Boston Police Foundation, representatives from Gronk Fitness Products

WHAT: In an effort to support Officer Wellness and Safety Initiatives, the Boston Police Foundation provided funding in excess of $250,000 to outfit and enhance workout spaces in 15 Boston Police Stations. Commissioner Evans stops by the BPD Bicycle Unit to inspect one of the new workout spaces and to thank the Boston Police Foundation for their generous donation and support of the men and women of the Boston Police Department. The Boston Police Foundation is a non-profit organization that invests in special equipment, advanced training, new technology, officer safety and wellness initiatives not covered in the department’s annual budget. Additionally, representatives from Gronk Fitness Products – including Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski – will be on hand to demonstrate the new workout equipment.
