At about 9:50 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2017, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a motor vehicle crash in the area of Talbot Avenue and Lithgow Street.
Upon arrival, officers observed a minivan had crashed head-on into an MBTA bus that had stopped at a bus stop. The operator of the minivan, an unidentified adult male, was transported to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, but was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. The operator of the bus as well as four passengers were taken to Boston area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Further investigation of the incident revealed that the minivan was reported stolen yesterday, Friday, February 24, 2017, out of Quincy.
