BPD Officers Arrest Suspect Wanted in Connection to Non-fatal Stabbing in East Boston: At about 1:38am, on Monday, February 27, 2017, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) responded to a call for a person stabbed in the area of 90 Bennington Street in East Boston. On arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from what appeared to be a non-life threatening stab wound. That victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment of his injuries. While still on scene, officers located the suspect wanted in connection to the stabbing. According to information gathered at the scene, the suspect and victim were involved in a physical altercation in which the suspect produced a sharp object and stabbed the victim. Officers arrested and charged Walter Hernandez Luna, 39, of Boston with Assault & Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. A search of the area enabled officers to recover a box cutter used by the suspect to injure the victim.
