One Less Gun: Two Suspects Armed with Loaded Handguns Arrested Nearly Simultaneously During Investigation in Boston

At about 2:25 AM on Sunday March 19, 2017, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) arrested two suspects and recovered two loaded firearms as part of an investigation in the area of 66 Hudson Street in Boston.  The officers had knowledge that the target of their investigation, Kharmaree Price, 18, of Dorchester, was in possession of a firearm.  The officers located the suspect in a hallway inside the building and immediately ordered him to the ground at which time he was placed in custody and a loaded .45 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver was recovered from his waistband.  As this was transpiring, a second male, later identified as Kris Porter-Elder, 19, of Roxbury, who had been standing in the hallway as the arrest was unfolding, immediately retreated into an apartment where he was observed by additional officers pulling a firearm out of the waistband of his pants and throwing it onto a nearby table.  The second suspect was quickly placed in custody and a loaded .40 caliber Smith & Wesson M&P Shield handgun was safely recovered.  Both suspects will appear in Boston Municipal Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
